Acceptable Use Policy

What the Service may not be used for, and what we do when the rules are broken.

This document is also available in Turkish. If the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.

1. Purpose

This policy applies to every customer using Layvchat and their agents, and forms part of the Terms of Service. It protects visitors, other customers and the Service itself.

2. Prohibited activities

The Service may not be used for the following activities, or by sites and businesses that carry them out:

  • any activity that is illegal in the country where you are based or which you serve
  • unlicensed betting and gambling, fraud, pyramid schemes, fake investment, crypto or earnings promises
  • phishing, impersonating another organization, brand or person, or selling counterfeit goods or pirated content
  • trade in illegal drugs, narcotics, weapons or explosives
  • any content involving the sexual abuse of children; such content is reported to the authorities
  • hate speech, incitement to violence or terrorism, harassment, threats and discrimination
  • content that infringes third parties’ intellectual property, privacy or personality rights

3. Messaging and channel rules

  • the email channel, tickets and chat may be used only to reply to people who have contacted you; bulk, unsolicited or marketing messages (spam) are not allowed
  • sender identity, email headers or brand details may not be altered to mislead visitors
  • visitors may not be asked for card details, passwords, one-time codes, identity documents or special categories of personal data (health, beliefs, biometrics and similar) without a legal basis
  • help center pages may not be used for misleading content, harmful links or content meant to manipulate search engines

4. Technical rules

  • uploading or spreading malware, viruses or unwanted code
  • trying to gain unauthorized access to the Service or to the accounts and data of other customers or visitors
  • testing, scanning or trying to bypass the security of the Service without permission (except research that follows the responsible disclosure rules on the Security page)
  • automated requests that overload the Service, scraping, or denial-of-service attempts
  • trying to get around API limits and rate limits by using multiple accounts or keys

5. Enforcement

If we suspect a breach of this policy, depending on its severity we may review the account, ask you to remove content, restrict the relevant feature, suspend the account or terminate the agreement.

Unless there is an urgent danger, we tell you before taking action and give you reasonable time to explain. We cooperate with the authorities on illegal activity.

Where a review requires it, we may access the relevant Customer Data, limited to the suspected breach.

6. Reporting abuse

If you think Layvchat is being used in breach of this policy, send the site address and a short description to [email protected]. We keep reports confidential and look into them.
