1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. The browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) can be used for similar purposes. In this policy we call both "cookies".
2. In short
- we use no advertising, tracking, profiling or third-party analytics cookies
- every cookie we use is needed for the Service to work or to remember a choice you made
- so we don’t show a cookie consent banner; essential cookies do not require consent
3. layvchat.com and the console
- layv_oturum (cookie, essential): keeps you signed in to the console. Only the server can read it (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict). Deleted when you sign out or when the session expires (12 hours by default)
- layv_oauth (cookie, essential): kept for 10 minutes during Sign in with Google to confirm the request came from you
- site_dil (cookie, preference): the language you chose on layvchat.com; 1 year
- layv_dil (local storage, preference): the language you chose in the console; until you clear it
4. The chat widget
The chat widget added to our customers’ sites uses no cookies. So the chat continues when you change pages, it stores these entries in the browser’s local storage:
- layv_cd_zk: a random visitor key that recognizes you in the same browser; it does not contain your name or identity
- layv_cd_kt_…: a chat token that reconnects you to an ongoing chat
- layv_cd_ses: whether you turned notification sounds on or off
- layv_cd_ilk: time of your first visit, to tell new and returning visitors apart
- layv_cd_tip, layv_cd_kaynak (for that visit only): visitor type and referral source
- layv_cd_dk: so an automatic greeting isn’t shown again on the same day or visit
- layv_cd_ab_…, layv_cd_abo_…: if the business is comparing two widget designs, which one you were shown
These entries are used only for live chat on that site; they are not used to track you on other sites. The controller for these entries is the business that added the widget to its site.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you won’t be able to sign in to the console, and a widget chat may restart when you change pages.
6. Changes
If we add a new cookie we will update this page. If we ever need a non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent before using it. Questions: [email protected]
